Content center issue : Cannot suppress a family

Hello everybody,

I have an issue with content center and family. We used the content center to automatically import components in assembly using IDF components.

Although, once Inventor 2018 crashed on my computer and I had to reinstall it from scratch. Since I had a backup for my libraries files (.idcl) and my "Content Center Files" folder, I used them again with the new install of Inventor 2018.

Everything seemed to working fine until a few days ago when I have to update an obsolete component. Usually to update a family I suppress it and save the new component with the old family name. However, the option "suppress a family" was not available when I right-cliked on the family and was grey in the menu. I tried on other components but it was the same each time, I could not suppress any component in my library.

I tried to copy the component in a new library but I still could not suppress it (even in the new library).

I don't know if it is coming from the backup or if I missed an option that forbid me to suppress any family... I already checked that both library are in Write/Read mode. I can't think of anything to check to solve this issue so please help.

Best regards,

Yann-Vari

Hello @YannVari

It seems that you are visiting as a new member to the Inventor Forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

That's weird, please switch the library view to your read/write library, make sure that you are not in the merged view.

Thanks

Thank you for the quick answer.

I was indeed in the merged view, I feel a little embarassed that I did not notice this before posting on forums...
