Content Center Family Material Editing

I am trying to correct a material issue in on of our Content Center Families. We have a Sheet/Plate family and one of the materials that we use is Diamond Plating as shown below.

The problem is when a "Diamond Plate" part is placed into an assembly the material is not correct, it comes in as shown below in image 1 and the second image is how it should look. You can see that in both images the material is set to "Steel, Diamond Plate" but the appearance in the incorrect image is set to "Diamond Plate" and in the correct image it is set to "Diamond Plate 2...".

If I go into Content Center Editor and look at a line in the family table that should be Diamond Plate I can see that the material is set to "Steel, Diamond Plate" but if I go into the Material Guide for that row it does not show "Steel, Diamond Plate" as an option to add or to delete.

How do I correct the Material/Appearance for the diamond plate lines in this family?

Looks like diamond plate 2 is an override of diamond plate to maybe change the scale of the appearance. This would need to be applied to your custom library if the custom library is active in the file to be seen in the CC editor.

Hope that helps.
