Content Center Backup and Restore

We recently added a bunch of new families to our content center but along the way some existing families got messed up and we had to restore a backup to correct those issues. On our test server we restored a backup of content center that had all of the new stuff. Is there a quick and easy way to restore the new families back into our production content center without restoring the entire content center from a backup? Currently I am just creating the new families again and doing a copy paste from the family tables.

I'm going through some of the same struggles in setting up our company CC library.  I be following this as to learn more about how these are set up and what controls what, namely the differences between "Copy To" and "Save Copy As" options in creating family tables from the existing CC components.

Have a location with them both available and copy across the families that you require. No real quick and easy method.

Usually if creating a custom library you will want to use the "Save Copy As" to get a non linked, unique version of the library you can modify.

I am initially going with the linked "Save Copy As" solution, knowing that (if needed) I could unlink those at another time.

Create a new Standard before you copy or change anything.

Copy to the New Standard then modify.

I think:

Use Link if you just want to change name, description, material.

You'll find a new file in CC Library folder with the new Standard name.  You can copy it to other computer.  You can back it up also.
