Content center add new parameters

Hello everyone.

I'm unfortuantly stuck in a bigger Content center problem these days.

I have made a simple chain driven roller in my own library.

The problems comes because I forgot to add a axel diameter parameter into the part when i uploaded it to the CC

The parameter I want to add is called d6 and is already in the part but I cannot select it in the family table or put it in.

what is the optimal way of adding other parameters into the  family table?

Also keep in mind this roller is used alot in our assemblies and would be prefeable if it's not delete to replace it.

With kinds regards, Mikael Nanke

A quick update.

I found out that I can put in the d6 parameter if I do the following:

*go into the Family table and add a new Column called d6 data type real.

*close Family table and open family properties.

* under Parameter Mapping -> Template Parameters

*Find the newly created d6 in the Table Columns

*press the 3 ... on the side Part Template Prameters

*Select the Parameters -> Model -> d6 and hit ok.

Now inside the Family Table you can change the d6 value and it will update in the part.

But you will have to delete your local file my path is: C:\Working Folder\Content Center Files\en-US\Rulle Q89 kdr

and then it can update.

If i try to use the "Refresh" in content center tap under Manage it will result in Inventor tells me that :No standard components exist in this assembly.

Can someone explain what happened here and how to fix it?
I'm not so found of having a Content center part that cannot be refreshed due to business composition.

Solution!

After many research hours i found out that content center doesn't like . (dot) in the end of the family properties.

if you use a dot in the last part of the Family Folder Name, it will not work properly.

I would never have thought of this if it havn't been for the above link.

Hope this will help others as well.
