Contact set is not working in my Assembly

I have an assembly where a hollow shaft (external shaft) houses a guide that follows a helical path on an internal shaft. The linear movement of the  external shaft should drive the internal shaft to rotate. With the tangent constraint, I attached the guide to the surface of the internal shaft groove and applied another tangential constraint to create contact with the groove walls. This setup worked but I don't want to use tangential constraint to create contact, because it sticks to the face. I want to use contact set but when I activate it on both the guide and internal shaft as well as the contact solver and try to drive the assembly it doesn't work. I think probably something is wrong with my Assembly but I don't know what it is.

Is your cut path suppose to have a small flat between the orange and green section?

No it's not, necessary I just added a G2 fillet in between the green and orange path hoping the result would change but it didn't .

I would not use any Tangent constraints for this mechanism.

I also tried using the translational constraint but it couldn't drive.

Are you familiar with Environments tab > Dynamic Simulation?

No I'm not. But I can try my hands on it. What should I do there?

Hi! The main reason why the Contact does not work is because there is pre-existing collision. Before turning on Contact Solver, you want to clear out any pre-existing interference. Such condition can affect Contact solve.

Another issue is with how the cam path is created. You used Coil to create such path way in 2019. I would use Guide Surface Sweep to ensure profile orientation. On 2020 and later, you can use Solid Sweep to create the precise cam path.

Many thanks!
