Connected Design Unsupported Environment

Hello,

I am trying to view an explode view of an assembly, and want to use the auto-explode functionality of connected design. When I try to "Design Share this View" I am prompted with a window that states the assembly is in an unsupported environment. There are no error codes, so I imagine it is something I am doing wrong.

Thanks!

The Unsupported message means you are in a state were not all the geometry or objects can be translated successfully for the Design Share so it is blocked. You will also see this message in things like Sketch Modes some Weldment modes and Presentations.

I believe the viewer has some explode functionality once you share your assembly.

Thanks,

Danny

How do you return to a state were it is possible to share? I have same error after entering the 3D print environment and then closing it. I don't have the typical return icon that you use to exit environments. I've tried to enter and exit another environment as well as restarting inventor.

Weldment is atually one of the environment that Shared View doesn't support. The workaround is to place your weldment into a nomal assembly and try again.

If you feel creating Shared View for weldment is frequently used, please post your idea to Inventor Ideas Station. Ideas with top votes might be implemented in Inventor future releases.
