Cone Flat pattern

Hi there guys anyone might be able to help me out, i am using inventor 2011 and i have an issue rolling a flat pattern i normally use the contour roll function in sheet metal however it doesn't seem to help with this. i have attached 2 pictures 1 where i roll it and the next is the flat pattern i get.... 

 

if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

Yikes!  That is an old release?

You will not get a proper Flat Pattern with that deformed geometry.

In later versions of Inventor you can use the Unwrap command that might get you "close enough".

Hi! Inventor Contour Roll is meant to create the piece requiring transitioning from one direction to another. The unrolled length is to ensure the adjacent linear portions unroll correctly. It may look weird if you only look at the piece by itself.
