Hi Experts

INV 2020

Is there any option in inventor to check the clerence fit of two components in an assembly ?

To see how much tolerences are required to make the parts assembly properly ?

Or is there any place/texts where i can find these guidelines ?

Hi @baliasM74U3

You can set the tolerance of the dimensions within the model.

For instance when creating a hole feature you can click the arrow in the diameter input and choose Tolerance, or you can do it through the parameters dialog

or you can set the tolerance when adding a dimension in a sketch

And there are these tools as well:

Calculate limits and fits | Inventor 2022 | Autodesk Knowledge Network

Tolerance Analysis Overview | Inventor 2020 | Autodesk Knowledge Network

I hope this helps.

Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

Hi! Another option is to do one-directional tolerance analysis using Inventor Tolerance Analysis tool.

Many thanks!
