changing library parts

To change the length of a screw that is part of a component pattern, I've
had to copy an instance in the array and paste it randomly in the assembly
in order to get the 'find in catalog' option in the context menu. Is there
an easier way to do this?

It seems that once you pattern a Library Part, it loses it's connection with the
Library, even if you delete the pattern. Sounds like a bug to me! Autodesk, care
to log this? Or should I post this to the web site.

I don't think it completely loses it's connection to the library, because
the arrayed copies will update with a non arrayed instance. You can't right
click the part by itself to get the context menu.

Kevin, just change the selection priority to "single part",
works fine here.

That's what I was looking for. Do you have to Shift+RMB to get that menu? I
brought it up by accident before, but never had a use for it.

Thanks,

"Do you have to Shift+RMB to get that menu?"
You can also use the "select" dropdown in the tool box.
It's very useful in many situations, also great in the idw
with custom filters.
