changing colors of components - mass update (EXCEL???)

Hello. Is there a way that anyone knows of where I can do a mass update of every part using a stock number, to change its color? For instance: We build trailers at my company. Every time we have to build a custom trailer, we have to remake custom side sheets in custom colors. It would be very helpful if we could clone our content center parts through an Excel export and then rename them with a find and replace in excel and import them into content center. So if a trailer is all white (all white side sheets) and I wanted to make a blue trailer, I could go ahead and make a blue version of every side sheet in our system. Keep in mind that we order our sheets in custom colors already painted, so we need to have a working part number for each color, cut size etc.

If your using content center to create the painted sheets you can add an appearance column and stock number. See this post
