change origin plan location

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to change a origin plan location of an already existing assembly? this old assembly was made with a not cetralized origin plane for some reason and i wanted to change that without having to re-assembly it.

thanks!

Depends on how the assembly was made.  If everything was constrained to the first pieces, sure, you can redo the constraints on that or unground it and constrain it where it needs to go.

If some things are grounded to the origin planes and others grounded and/or constrained to themselves, etc...you can redo it, but it'll take a good deal longer.

There's not a 'relocate the 0,0,0 point button.

right click on cubo volante and uncheck "grounded"..

Then you can use ground and root if you want or just manually create the constraints as necessary to the origin planes from whatever part you want centered..

If it's all properly constrained, you can just unground the root component and then use this command to put the component that you want at the centre of the origin.

This also relies on that component being modelled properly around the origin.
