Change Autostack setting: Appearance > Format

I can't seem to get the Autostack feature to maintain horizontal stacking format.  Every time a fraction is auto-stacked, it is making it diagonal.  I have tried using the "Save current settings" option but new stacks continue to be diagonal.  The help button linked in the dialog box : Stack Properties Reference says that the preferences are stored in Document settings.  I do not see any stacking options in the Drawing document properties.

Under a different AutoStack reference online: To Stack Text in a Drawing says, "Correct formats for stacked numbers are: 1/2 (results in a horizontal fraction), 1#2 (results in a diagonal fraction), 1^2 (results in a tolerance stacking), ^2 (results in a subscript), 2^ (results in a superscript)."

I don't know exactly when this started happening, but it may have been when we switched from 2021 to 2023 inventor because I know it used to autostack correctly.  If I type "1/2" then click unstack I get "1#2".

Does anyone know where I can set the default or why the stacking formats mentioned above do not function as described?

Hi! This workflow is indeed a bit confusing. I believe you need to enable AutoStack. Set the stack format desirably. After that, after you type in "1/2" for example, hit Space. The fraction will be stacked according to the AutoStack settings.

Many thanks!

Yeah there are convert to Diagonal/Horizontial radial buttons and horizontal must be selected, if you want horizontal, otherwise every instance of "1/2" will convert to "1#2" and be diagonal.
