Is there a way to insert the abbreviation for centerline in Inventor drawings?  The best way to describe it is a capital C and L overlapping each other.

It is in the Insert Symbol dropdown menu in the Format Text dialogue, it can be made into a Sketched Symbol in Drawing Resources if needed.

Use the drop down box in the format text box.

I got that part but I don't see the CL symbol in my dropdown menu.  I see a ton of things but not CL.
