Cant use extrusion feature to add material in assembly

Hi,

I am having some trouble to use the extrude feature in an assembly. I can only use it to remove material instead of adding.

The "boolean options" in the extrude menu are not appearing. I need to modify a spur gear made with the Design enviroment in assembly (need to make the hole for the shaft and lighten the body). All 3 of previous extrusions were to remove material.

Thanks in advance,

Jose.

Assembly features are intended for removing material only (i.e. machining, drilling holes etc..). If you could create geometry inside the assembly you would be shortcutting the part - assembly relationship.

To add material to the spur gear double click it and edit the part design accelerator automatically makes.

Also .iam files need the parts to be of any use on the forum.
