Cannot use a template with model state when creating in place.
It was possible with LoD in 2021.

Do you have the latest updates?
In 2022.3 I can. Have you checked your active project file to see if your templates folder path is set correctly?

So, it looks fine to me. Is your question about how to use the template with pre-existing model states that did not show up in this example?

I want to use a certain template with predefined model states but they do not show up when I use create-in-place command.

Hi, just for clarification:  Does the template work if you begin a new part, but NOT create in place?

Yes.

Create in place in 2021 with LoD: ok
Create new part in 2023.2 with model state: ok.
Create in place in 2023.2 with the same part with model state: not ok.

Hi! I believe this is a limitation. When you create a new part in an active non-Primary Model State. The hosting assembly needs to know the exact file and its active Model State. However, the file is not yet saved. As a result, such template cannot be used.

Many thanks!
