Hi,

I tried to edit an old file but I cannot select more than a single edge to make a flange.

If I create a new file it works fine, but with this older file inventor wont let me

Deleting the flatpattern definition does not help. I did attach the file i am working on.

Help would be appreciated, otherwise i have to start from scratch.

Maybe this?

https://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2025/ENU/?guid=GUID-FB7A33B7-0914-4C41-A62C-4D363B67A30C

"You can select multiple edges only if the following conditions do not exist:
(...)
The extents option (on the More tab) is set to: Width, Offset, From-To or Distance"

I know, but i've selected the normal "edge" here, not Width, Offset, From-To or Distance

Also, this is only an issue when i edit the existing flange on the old part.  if i create a new flange feature in the part it works fine. I think it has to do with legacy.

In inventor 2023, there is this checkbox

cant seem to find this in inventor 2025

Yes, it has to do with older versions.

With the introduction of a panel-menu for flange operations, some of the functionality was also changed.

This added a new possibility, but at the cost of changing the algorithms - the definitions are not the same.
