Cannot read texture image

When I start a new document or open a file in Inventor, I get a pop up saying: "Cannot read texture image C:\Useers\public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\Textures\Chrome.dds"
I moved the whole Autodesk file and changed all paths under settings>files in Inventor. The new path to Chrome.dds is C:\Users\Kaj\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\Textures\Chrome.dds

Inventor works fine but the pop up is really annoying. What can I do about it?

Thanks in advance.

where did you say you specified the texture file path?

the setting i know of from memory is found under application options, colours... filename. if you changed it there is it still doing it?

best regards,
- Mark

Solution:

Go to windows security options and TURN OFF Controlled Folder Access.

steps

-windows security

- virus & threat protection

-under Ransomware protection click "manage ransomware protection"

-Either Turn Off or remove the folder from the list of protected folders.

Hi Mark, I am getting this error as well but do not quite understand your response. Could you state it in simpler, more thorough language? Here are my issues:

I don't know where to find Application Options. Do you have any advice for that?

this solved my issue!

Thank you

What i did was allow an app to have access to protected folders instead. (found inventor.exe in folder and selected it)
