Can I have sketches show on top in the browser?

ok, this may seem to be a dumb question/desire, but I would like to have Inventor's browser show my sketches on the top level and then below that sketch it should show my extrusions, based off that sketch. Why is it the other way round?

Does not make any sense to me since I always have to do the sketch first, then extrude. I always have to keep expanding the extrusions to get to the sketches, it wastes so much time.

Is there a setting I could change?

You're assuming Extrusion 1 is using Sketch 1.

Also if your sketch 2 used projection from Extrusion 1, it cannot go before Extrusion 1 because Extrusion 1 is not created yet.

This is historical CAD structure.

Hmm, maybe I am  not getting something, but I always make a sketch first, then do the extrusions from the sketch. So in my mind, my sketch comes first if I think about chronological order. is that not correct?

That is why I want sketch to be above an extrusion in the browser.

sorry, I must have attached the wrong file. Please see this new file I attached. It has three sketches in it. All three sketches are shown underneath extrusions.

By the way, the image you attached does not show up for me. In fact my own image which I attached a few days ago does not show up for me. I have cleared cookies also.

PS: It is very annoying to keep expanding all extrusions to find the correct sketch to edit. That is why I would like to have Inventor show sketches at the top level and all extrusions below that sketch.

I could fix this for you and show you how to achieve solution to your original problem statement - but first I recommend that you research the BORN Technique (and fully define your sketches).

I recommend using the BORN Technique as much as possible and practical.

"Fully defined" sketch is something I am not aware of. I am pretty new to Inventor and CAD-ing in general but I am hungry to learn.

OK so I read up and learnt how to make fully constrained sketches. The new part attached to this post has all sketches fully constrained. However, that does not make the sketches come up on the browser. I guess there is some setting I need to turn on? BTW, it is just a "quick and dirty" demo part. It really is not used for anything.

As for BORN technique, I learnt about it also. Although I do not have a whole hour to invest watching the very detailed video you have on YouTube, I did skim through it and also look at other, shorter videos and also read some short articles. Seems to me, in a nutshell, BORN technique simply recommends us to draw on the three planes, nothing else. Also make the first sketch start at 000, the origin.
