Can BOM show file "Location"

In the iProperties window and the Project tab there is information such as Location:, File subtype:, Part Number:, Stock Number:, etc.  Is there any way to have "Location:" show up on a drawing BOM????

If you edit the drawing styles, under Manage > Styles Editor > Parts List > Default Column Settings > pick "Column Chooser" then New Property, and type in Location.

Location is not available in parts list, but is in the bom.

Add the file path to the BOM

Create a new column called Location

Copy and paste the file path to the 'location'

This puts it in a custom iproperty.

In the drawing parts list, column chooser

new property

This will bring in the info from custom iproperty. Note as you copied and pasted it won't update.

You'd have to use iLogic to do this automatically.

Honestly we were looking to see if any files were saved in the wrong location.  Found that we can go into assembly BOM and add File Path column, sort by that column and just scan down the parts to see anything that is in the wrong folder.  That gets us what we need and doesn't affect the drawing BOM as we only pull certain columns.

Thanks!!!!

Also we found that will show *Varies* if any file has multiple instances but they are saved in different locations.  We're going to be moving to Vault soon so that lets us know what we need to clean up.

Yes, it's very useful for doing that before you save over something that
you shouldn't!!
