I have a cable and harness assembly. In the 3D model, all wire colors look bright and sharp.
If I make a nailboard drawing and print it out, or make a pdf, then the wire colors are also bright and good.
If I place a 3D view of the Harness (shaded) it looks also good on the screen.
But if I print it or export it to pdf, then the colors are dark en almost the same (dark grey to black...). If you have several wire colors, they are difficult to see the individual colors...
I have tried it on several printers.
Maybe it is not a specific Cable and Hanres problem, but does somebody know if this can be solved?
Hi! I am still trying to confirm the behavior. I tried the workflow on our internal build but it worked. But, I do see the same problem as you are seeing on 2018.2.3. In theory, 2018.2.3 should work but it is not working. I need to take a closer look and understand the behavior better.
Many thanks!
Hi Johnson
As always, thanks for your responses and input. I'll wait to hear more as and when you find anything.
Cheers
Jon
Hi! I checked with the project team and found out that Jason's issue was different than the one we original understood. A different fix has been worked on. It should be available in the coming major update to 2018.
Many thanks!
Is there any work around until the update?
I currently have a DWG and go to print it and the colors disappear and turn into grey. Is there a way to be able to print the color wires?
Hi! Have you shared your files here? If yes, could you tell me where to find them? I want to make sure the issue is known.
Many thanks!
Hi! It could be related but I am not 100% sure without seeing the actual files. If possible, please send the example files to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I can at least confirm if it is the same issue as Jason's or it is a different issue and there is an alternative workflow.
Many thanks!
