Hi there!

I need to cut sphere from solid,

but inventor sees sphere as a part of the solid,

e.g. I have only one solid and for boolean operation I need two.

This is what I need

Why not just do a Revolve cut instead of revolve join?

Change your Revolve 1 feature from a Join to a Cut.
Edit the feature, the 3 boxes in the middle of the window, the second one down is a cut. select this one and you should get what you are looking for.

Seems like it would have been a lot easier to do the hole part as one revolve feature. If you want to use the method you're describing though, when you create the sphere, there's 4 options for what to do with your profile in the middle of the dialogue box. There's cut, revolve, intersect, and new solid. Just check new solid....you can also go back and edit the feature to make it a new solid so you don't have to delete or redo anything.
