BOM Item numbering with the addition of letters for items with multiple parts.

My client (large electrical utility) wants to use item numbers that sometimes include letters (7A, 7B, 7C) for a small minority of the total item numbers. Inventor moves all these to the end of my list and does not account for the # 7 variations in 1, 2, 3, numbering scheme. This becomes rather frustrating when I have 40 to 70 items and now have to drag my alpha numbers into order for every drawing.

Is there a way to reorder that does not require manual dragging into the correct order?

Hi! Unfortunately, I am not aware of a workflow helping to sort hybrid item numbers desirably.
