BIM Duct Connector Issues When Exporting from Inventor to Revit

All,

Good afternoon!  I've run into a bit of an issue and I'm curious as to why I'm having this issue.  I've constructed a handful of models and gotten them Revit ready, but as you see in the ScreenCast below, I'm clearly not getting the results I want from the Duct Connectors.  Basically the dimensions for the duct work look to be getting reversed from what I want and expect.  Please take a look at the video link below and I'd love any advice!  Thanks in advance for any assistance, hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete

Hi Pete,

The behavior does not look right to me. I will work with the project team to understand it better. It looks like a bug.

Many thanks!

Hi Pete,

Just wanted to let you know that I have this on my list.  I'm planning on looking into the issue tomorrow and will update you on what I find then.

Thanks,

@kgilham, thank you I really appreciate that.  I've tried it with a different shape and it seems to work just fine with the circular duct.  This is for my AU presentation, so I'd like to figure it out soonish, or leave it as an area of future research.  Below is a video link showing my results with the circular duct.  Appreciate the help!  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

@petestrycharske Unfortunately after doing some digging I'm seeing this behavior back in 2018 as well.  My guess would be that this has been in the product for awhile.  I haven't found anyone who understand why it works this way but it is now logged as a defect and assigned to our team.  There isn't a way to have this fixed before AU and I haven't found workaround yet.

Well @kgilham, I'm holding you personally responsible for my predicament!!!  😋  Just kidding.  Thanks for pushing this up to development!  Is there an incident number, so I can keep track of it?  Thanks for taking a look into this for me and hopefully now that some light has been shed on this, the process can be fixed.  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete
