Bill of material with spreadsheet part

Hi guys!

I have been creating a lot of part with automatic description for my BOM ( custom propreties).

Everything as been working great, since now.

I have some part that are linked to a spreadsheet. I choose the pipe that I want and only change the lenght and the custom propretie change. ( so this work great.)

But the problem appear in my dwg, when I put my Bom, all the pipe with different lenght appear in like one item with the "varies" description... I want them to appear as different item..

I see them in the model data  but not on my sheet..

It's because they have the same part number.

Inventor groups the items in the Parts List by part number by default. Since you have three different pipes with 3 different lengths and therefore 3 different descriptions, it lists them as one line with 'varies' where the properties aren't a 100% match.

The fix is in the BOM screen

The second button from the right is the PART NUMBER ROW MERGE SETTINGS.

Uncheck the checkbox for Merge on Part Number Match or you can add things to the exclude list if you want to do it that way.

It sounds like each ipart pipe member has the same part number and in your BOM you have merge row on part number enabled.  In your BOM window, select the 2nd icon from the right on toolbar and uncheck part number merge.
