Bend Lines Not Showing in Nesting

Hello,

I'm having a hard time getting bend lines to show when adding sheet metal source files into nesting.

The source files are sheet metal files that have flat patterns created for them.

The IV Mark Surface layer appears to be set to "etching data", but no data appears on the extract or when the sheet is exported.

If I export the face of a sheet metal part without using Nesting, the bend lines are there. But it would be nice to be able to nest all the parts.

Also, is there a way to eliminate the lines that show the end of the bends?

Our plasma table has an engraver and we only need to engrave the center bend line.

Hi

To the best of my knowledge, Inventor Nesting only supports the outline of sheet metal parts. This program is not designed to fully utilize the potential of your machine.

You can, however, export marking edges to nesting.

In this video I showed how nestong is affected by marking, A-side definition, and modeling and editing in a flat pattern environment:

You will need to test how the inner edges will behave in the end though. You may need to change their shape or color to yellow in AutoCAD or another 2D dxf editor.

The last thing you did there to show the bend line... Can you explain it?

Your default is in another language and difficult to follow on screen.
