Balloon creation behavior changed

Somehow the balloon creation behavior seems to have changed for m. Previously to create a balloon on a drawing I would click the Balloon button(or shortcut), left click on my part, pull the balloon away from part, click again to change direction of the line then double click to place the balloon bubble.

Now when I click on the part and pull back the balloon and click again, it places the balloon as opposed to letting me change direction of the line.

This just happened all of a sudden, any suggestions.

While in the balloon command right click and see if the "single segment leader" option is checked. It sounds like you would like that option unselected.
