Automatic section view label formatting (different text size for identifier and scale)

Hello,
I would like to ask if there is a way to automate section view labels in Inventor drawings.

My goal is that every time I create a section view (e.g. A–A), the label is automatically formatted like this:

  • The section identifier (e.g. “A–A”) should be underlined, font size 5.25 mm.

  • The scale should be placed below it on a second line, font size 3.5 mm.

Right now, I can only change the label format (<VIEW IDENTIFIER> - <VIEW IDENTIFIER>, <SCALE>) and apply one text style, but I don’t see any option to apply two different text styles (sizes, underline) within the same section label.

This means I need to manually edit the label formatting every single time I create a section view, which is very repetitive and time-consuming.

Is there a built-in way to achieve this in the Style and Standard Editor, or is this currently not possible without manual editing / iLogic automation? (but if you have iLogic let me know :D)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi! I am not aware of an out-of-the-box workflow to do that automatically. The label can only have one text style, not multiple text style. You will either use an iLogic code to override it or manually change it after the view is created.

Many thanks!
