AutoCAD Deliverables

We are starting our first project using inventor and have run into a stumbling point.  We have a requirement to send our client 2D autoCAD drawings but they also want to be able to extract information from the title blocks to add into their drawing database.  We have set up a border with i-properties but when the DWG is opened the border and border information is a "block".  When exploded the border and all the attributed text are dropped to lines and MTEXT.  Is there a way to retain the text as an attribute?  Are we doing this wrong?

Not sure if this will give you what you are looking for, but try saving your inventor (.idw) as Autocad (.dwg) files.

Hi! Without seeing an example, it is very hard to comment on specifics. If you want to use AutoCAD's drafting workflows, you may considering using VIEWBASE command in AutoCAD to create associative drawing views to Inventor parts or assemblies. This eliminates the need to convert Inventor drawing to AutoCAD dwg.

Many thanks!
