Hi Guys

I'm a electronic Engineer trying to setup cable harness, so that i can collaborate with AutoCAD electrical. I am battling with the unique RefDes assigment. we have several occurances of the same part. when i change the RefDes of one occurance all the other automatically have the same value. What am i missing? What do we have to change.

Thanks for any help provided

Assume you have to modify the designations in the AutoCAD electrical and then bring into Inventor.

Hope it helps!

Hi Oliver,

We should define the RefDes for Cable Harness Part Occurrence. Which means we need put the part component into Harness assembly as attachment. Then right-click part occurrence to run Harness Properties to add RefDes.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, but that is exactly what i was doing. But since i have more than one occurance in my design the change of the value automatically applies to the others as well.

I have now found a possible way. I just have to link the components manually instead of the desired automatical linkage, during wire list import.

kind regards

Oliver
