Assembly Mates stopped working

Hi, I'm working on a complex project and I was done assembling all of the parts needed. On the pc I finished working on, the file was working perfectly. I can't use that pc anymore since it's not mine, and on my computer many mate constraints stopped working for no reason and I can't seem to fix them.

This is the file. We need to animate the whole thing... help please! 😢

Sofia,

I copied all of your files into a local folder & opened the top  level assembly. Apart from about 4 'inconsistent relationships' showing up in the Design Doctor, the assembly appears to be intact & fully constrained.

The errors appear first when I update the assembly: (Inventor 2023.2)

My way of dealing with situations like this (because it happens to everyone, doesn't it?😉), is suppressing (not deleting!) the faulty constraints one by one and try to replace them with a new one (rather than trying to edit and "repair"). Once there are no more Sick Relationships, the suppressed constraints can be deleted.

Yes, it does happen to everyone & often for no obvious reason. I usually use Design Doctor to isolate the sick constraints & repair them but it can be a challenge.

Hi! It is difficult to tell where the problem is and how the problem started. A few things I would do differently.

1) A logical grounded part is needed.

2) Flexible and adaptive are mutually exclusive. When the geometry is still being edited, it is better disabling Flexible.

3) To have more stable angular constraint, use 3rd option, Explicit Reference Vector.

Many thanks!
