Assembly Issue

I am trying to assemble the "wheel" part and the "booth" part of a Ferris Wheel. I need the booth to have gravitational freedom. I have a holes on the "wheel" where a ring feature on the "booth" is supposed to link in. How can I achieve this?

You should use an "Assembly Joint" instead of an Assembly Constraint.   You did not mention what type of motion the "booth" should have, swinging in one line, swinging around a point, so I is difficult for me to select the correct type of joint.

Regardless of the joint, to make your "booth" swing as it would in real life using gravity, you will have to build your assembly and then use Dynamic Simulation to allow this type of motion.  Gravity is not respected in your basic Inventor assembly and you will not be able to get the motion you seem to be wanting.

Hi! Another possibility without using Dynamic Sim is to have an angular constraint between the Ferris Wheel cart and the global Z-axis or Y-axis (the gravity direction).  So that, the cart is always upright regardless how the wheel turns.

Many thanks!
