I have an issue, and I don't know why, look, I made an assembly (Master Assembly), and I put some rules and parameters in there, I export this parameters to my pieces, I made my pieces, every thing until now is good, the thing is when I try to place some of this pieces in the assembly I have this message (image 1, below) and I don't know why, because the assembly and the piece have a different name, and there are completely different, any body know why I have this and what can I do to fix it.

Thank You.

Hello,

What version of Inventor are you using?

And would you be able to attach your files please?

Thomas.

I'm Using Inventor 2016. I'll insert the assembly file and just two pieces. this two pieces change if we change the diameter in the master.

Thank You.

Hello,

When I place the part, there is an unresolved link.

And errors when I open the part.

Instead of creating an assembly, and creating parameters and exporting them.

Create all the parameters in the part, place the parts in the assembly. Then create a new user parameter, and reference it to the parameter in the part. Which will allow you to change whatever you want in the part, from the assembly. It is better than exporting a parameter.

Do you understand what I mean?

I have attached a printscreen of what I mean. This line of code changes a parameter in my part.

Thomas.
