Assembly Features and my stupidy

Is it just me or is anyone else doing this...

Since we now have assembly features the sketch button is active in an
assembly so I hit it and start editing a part only to realize after I'm done
that I wasn't editing the part but adding an assembly feature. So
anyone else want to admit their stupidity?

I've done it three times today.

Sean,
I have yet to find a reason why to add a, say, fillet, as an assembly
feature?
(admitting my stupidity hereby)

It's just you... 🙂

Actually, what I want to see in assembly features is the ability to create an AF
and then manually decide to "propagate" that feature to the affected parts....
Like using AF to drill an adaptive hole through various parts....

Gee, thanks for the support...

I was told that this was planned for future implementation. Actually it
would solve my problem right now wouldn't it

It's my understanding that its under consideration also....... I brought it
up in beta.

Years ago (MDT2) there was a third party that could do it..... I think they
are gone now..... Piercing multi-parts would be a great help....

Dennis,
I had this third party for MDT2, it was really great:
- select screw connection (bolt, washers, nuts...)
- select hole location
- select termination of hole
- relax, take a sip of coffe, watch MDT drill the hole and insert the
complete fastener.
Really great!
Adesk liked this too, so they bought this third party, truncated of large
chunks, and remarketed it as PP.

can't you do that with Cross-part association and/or adaptivity?
