Assembly Constraints, 'Constraint Set'

Hi there,

I just discovered the Constraint 'Constraint Set', see screenshots.
Coming from SolidWorks I see the similarity where you can 'Mate/Constrain' the origins and choose to also align the planes.

I see that creating such a 'Constraint Set' Constraint will result in three(3) Flush constraints.
At the same time I wonder why not include a UCS in a part / assembly template by default so that this function is available at all times.
Is this done by users already?
Are there any disadvantages or problems to be expected?

I would like to hear your experiences / advice, thanks in advance.

Greetings!

Hi! UCS was designed for a modeling practice called "common origin." This origin may not be the same as the origin in the coordinate system. It helps get a sense of the geometry relative to the final build model.

You can certainly add it to the part and assembly template. Once you want to constrain the component, simply use Constraint Set to snap to the same origin.

Many thanks!
