Anybody else have performance issues with MS Onedrive For Business (GROOVE.EXE)?

I recently switched from personal OneDrive to OneDrive for Business, around the time ms took the personal storage from 25gb to 5gb (1.5 to 2 months ago). I thought I noticed an increased loading time for inventor, but not too big a deal.  This morning, however, inventor became pretty much unusable. Switching to suppress all lod was only marginally useful.  Killing the OneDrive process cleared it right up. Now, the 2 potentially relevant details are

a) system performance seems to have improved overall (not just inventor)

b) the project was stored in the onedrive sync folder. Note that if you think this is the problem, I never had any issues whtsoever when I was using onedrive personal.

I will post to other fora and report back.

Are you working across a network?

If so don't .. you're relying on someone else's network.

Download it to the locale pc, and update it as you need to, major changes, updates, end of day, etc.

In addition to @mdavis22569 information...

How are you connected to your network/Onedrive..   WIFI or hard-wired?  If hard-wired, are you plugged directly into a network port or through a VoIP phone?

What about your Anti-Virus software, what do you have?

Working across a network or a cloud based drive is going to cause issue and network performance.  Just because something worked before under that condition doesn't mean it will always be the same due to updates and network configurations.  Smiley Wink

No, OneDrive is not "remote" storage. It simply copies the files to a remote location and synchronizes on save. I  think I found the issue - they released a new client. More later.

Definitely seems like new client fixed it. More later.
