Ansys Interface

I need to import an inventor model into Ansys.

Is it simply done by exporting the inventor model to an Iges/Sat file & importing or is there an Ansys plugin or Addin which is better to use?

I have read some previous posts with ansys users having problems when import inventor model whica have derived/mirror parts etc.

There is an addin which gives an automatic link to Ansys.

If you keep the link active you can refresh your Ansys model from changes you make in Inventor.

I don't know about the derived/mirror parts problem so can't really comment.
