Alternate units in hole notes

When using alternate dimensions in hole notes it repeats the full note for both dimension units. I would like to only have the dimensional data have the alternate information and not repeat the full note (see attached file). Anyway to do this?

Thanks.

You can accomplish the formating you desire by first modifying the Dimension
Style to control where the alternate units [x.x] is positioned. On the
Alternate Units tab under Dual Format choose the radial option for Hole Note
Dual Option. In your case select option x.x [x.x].

Second, select the holenote RMB "Edit Hole Note...". Remove the DIAM symbol
and REAM THRU. (You can also modifiy the dimension style to provide a
default string for thru holes if you want change to be permanant.)

Next, select the holenote again to add prefix and suffix information through
the RMB "Text..." option. Enter 2x and DIAM symbol before the <<>> symbol
and REAM THRU after the symbol.

Hope this helps.

This doesn't seem like a very intuitive fix. It works...but now I take my hole note w/ qty and edit the "text" only and not the note losing the qty value? I can't see anyone needing the note double with their alternate value, the functionality should always be to show both units with the note as its own entity.

Does anyone have a more practical work around?
