Alignment problem

When I make a simple rectangle, I am unable to use Vertical Constraint to center it to the plane. I get an error: "Adding this constraint will over-constrain the sketch."

What is wrong?

Try a horizontal constraint? Sometimes they are switched. Are you constraining to the mid-point of the line?

Post an ipt file that generates that error..

Sorry! Sorry, I realised I need to click the center of the line in order for the program to consider it for alignment to the plane.

Clicking the center of the line was my problem. Thanks for the help!
