Aligning a body to the base planes

I have a body in a part that was derived from another part. It came in aligned to the original coordinate system and i want to align it with the base planes /axes of the New part file.  The  direct edit tool would seem like the obvious choice but you do not seem to be able to force alignment of an edge to an axes with a command , you can only enter a degree of rotation. Since the part is out of alignment with all 3 base planes that isnt very helpful . Anyone have a better idea how to align the body?

Hi! Another option is to use Move Bodies command (3D model -> Modify -> expand the panel).

Many thanks!

This is how I do it.

It's the 'old' way...
