After update 2026.2 flies are being save to WORKSPACE

After updating to Inventor 2026.2 my flies have suddenly started being save to WORKSPACE instead of the appropriate Project File Location

Don't Know Why or How I HAVE NOT changed anything. All I did was install the update

The IV file explore showed them as being in the project file, but windows Explore didn't and that how I found the problem

I've had to manually copy al the files from WORKSPACE into the Project File all 591 of them to the location stipulated in the Project

Hi! Are you using the default project or a custom project or a Vault project? I would assume you need to define a Workspace in a custom project. So all editing files are saved in the Workspace.

Many thanks!

What I should have said that files are NOW BEING SAVER TO A FOLUDER CALLED/NMED  "WORKSPACE"

I'm using this E:\Documents\My Inventor\Mason's Inventor Files\Steam Engines\Invicta 3.5 Inch Gauge 0-4-0 Loco custom project location as shown in the screen shot below, with two sub-folders OLD VERSION and Invicta Loco Photos

I've never had to edit or change the workspace settings in the past. What I do is, after first creating a new folder using windows 11 File Explore, I either use the browse button to fill that in with the folders location or copy and paste from the File Explore top location bar, this far much easier than typing and avoids typos when creating a new project IPT file and its shortcut
