Dear people,

I am quite new to inventor and am quite familiar with tools like grasshopper (rhino)
Today I tried to do something that is possible in the latter software and might not be possible in inventor. Thats why I ask you for help. 

Assume I have a 2d curve(sketch) that is composed of arcs and straight parts. Then I want to add z-coordinate information to this curve. To be specific I want a linear decline of the z coordinate between the beginning and end of the curve. E..g 0 at the start and 9000mm at the end. Is there a way to add a z transformation to the whole curve to create the above effect? Or am I going at it the wrong way?

You are describing a 3D Sketch, not a 2D Sketch.

 

But what is your end goal?

Do you have a link or image of something similar to what you are trying to do?

Maybe you do want a 2D Sketch, but you simply want it on an inclined plane.

Can you attach your *.ipt file here?

 

Have you gone through the Getting Started Tutorials?
