I am using IV 2024. How do I add a texture to the library? I found a texture .bmp I want to use and added it to the Autodesk 2024 texture files, but it is not listed when I go to find the new texture. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

@adam_gasper

Can you Attach your *.ipt file and the image file used for texture here?

I'm trying to make a piece of perforated floor plate. It looks like IV already has a similar texture loaded in the texture file already, but it doesn't show in my drop-down menu for selection when I am using Inventor. Thanks.

You need to create new "material".

Appearance, not material.

@JDMather : I disagree. The question was about texture, which to me means both visual and physical properties (and I don't mean mass or thermal stuff). The number of options for appearance available in the Material editor is far superior to the Appearance editor.
