Added material not working in Stress Analysis feature (Inventor 2018)

Hey all,

I seem to be having some issues with adding a material. I wish to use the stress analysis feature of Inventor to test deformation of a roller. Inventor does not have the specific Polyurethane material I want to study, so I added my own, however the following error is my major concern.

As shown below, the study will not run due to incomplete information however I have values for all of the numbers. I am not claiming all of the numbers for the material properties to be completely correct, but they should be within reason to run a simulation.  I would sincerely appreciate some help troubleshooting this!

On a separate instance, I am trying to verify the squishing of this roller to the curved tool, which should compact fully at 200lbs. I tried the other polyurethane options in the Autodesk library, but they must not be as elastic as the material we have. I would love any tips for accurately simulating this as well

Good morning @cmm3 ,

when you are on the stress analysis environment check the materials from the study tree. Some times we missed something. Double click it and check the table, please see attached

Hi! I think the issue is with the material style type. The new material was created from scratch based on Generic style. FEA filters out Generic type. You need to create a material style based on one of the existing types in the physical assets (not Generic).
