Hello,
Would anybody be kind enough to share their 3d PDF exports of assemblies exported from Inventor?
I would like to have a look at some examples to see if this kind of resource would benefit our company.
Many thanks,
Callum

Hi,
I have quickly created a part and exported as 3D PDF for anyone to view 🙂
See the attachment on this post.
Hi @Anonymous
3D PDFs are easy to create and easy to view, they can contain a lot of information and you can choose what information is included too.
If you haven't tried 3D PDFs from inventor I would recommend you give it a go, if you don't have inventor just download a 30 day trial.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply and the sample.
Is it easy to edit the PDF Template? I have had a quick look, and i'm not sure if you can edit templates without adobe reader pro? I have reader DC.
Thinking this would be nice to offer clients along side their 2d approval drawings!
Thanks
Callum
Hi @Anonymous
Yes you can change the 3D PDF Templates, check out this great screencast by Michael Davis.
We do this with some of our internal approvals, it helps people who are not good at visualising 3D shapes from 2D drawings.
Make sure you have the latest version of Inventor and try many of your parts/assemblies before giving the final go ahead... There are still bugs in 3d PDF that may end up just stopping you in your tracks..
Hope you don't use any weldment subassemblies...
Lots of good examples here though..

what type of updates are you looking to do?
