3D line perpendicular to included geometry

Hi all,

I have included a 3 D part for reference.  At the end of the 484.574 line Is included geometry.

 

I want to make that line perpendicular to the included geometry.

 

I am sure this is a simple fix that I am just missing as I have not been doing 3D sketches very long.

 

any help would be very much appreciated.

Your sketch ends in a circle - which is constrained by a fixed constraint.  Therefore, any other constraints on this sketch will over constrain it.  You'll need to decide which of the fix constraints you are prepared to delete.

If you delete both and add a vertical height dimension - then "Perpendicular" will work (or Parallel-Z).

I misread the question I think!  I deleted the fix constraints from the included geometry (1).

 

To make it work the correct way, the 484.574 dimension needs to become driven (2) - then you can drag (3) below:

Sketch a line across your included circle constraining it to the circle-center point - then add an XZ Parallel constraint.

Now you can add the Perpendicular constraint between the new line and the old 484.574 line:
