2D drawings - certain properties enable/disable Parent-child views

Hello there!

Hope everything is alright with you all,  I'm already bored on this type of "house arest" XD

So my conflict with an easy and fluently work flow is the following:

(not having this)
2D drawing parent-views properties:
- Visibility of especific elemetents (assemblies/parts);

- Disable/enable cuts/sectioned elements (assemblies/parts);
- Types of Hatches of especific elemetents (assemblies/parts);

- Layers of especific elemetents (assemblies/parts), on my line of work, my types of layers (exmples, but true):
              - Equipment to remove;
              - Equipment to add;

              - Equipment to modify;
              - Structures to remove;
              - Structures to add;

              - Structures to modify;

These properties that i listed above, it would be nice to have the ability (automatic) to transfer from parent to childs views (including cuts, details etc.).
If there is a need to disable the "link" of a property just disable it (uncheck box) and change at your will.

Since there is an object (assembly/part) on every type of view, that you can "maneuver" at your will.

Exemple of one of my work types, is attached on this post.
Now just imagine doing this over, over and over again, and repeat every hatch style, layers and every type of properties i listed above, at larger scales or on a small scale but more drawings.

Best regards and stay safe, everyone.

Hi cjuliao

Thanks for your comment.

Yes you are right, the Inventor not directly support does feature to use. But you can use view representation to turn on and off for visibility of component in your assembly model.

You can find more information about view representation in Inventor help.

Hopefully this is helpful for you.

Thanks.

Hi! Inventor drawing was designed to document high precision models you want to manufacture. It is not as versatile as AutoCAD. I believe you may want to use AutoCAD. There is a command called VIEWBASE in AutoCAD to create associative drawing views to Inventor components. When the model geometry updates, the AutoCAD drawing will update accordingly.

Many thanks!
