Dear Autodesk;
Since Inventor uses many forms of materials, why not integrate the Inventor material editor with a new form of 3D SOLID scanner of which Autodesk might acquire. These scanners are simple and relatively cheap compared to other solid scanners (CT, MRI) and can be used to characterize new materials into a very important workflow that would add to human ascendency. In addition to the materials created would be the benefit of developing 3D models that are SOLID with internal structures. These models can be used to develop product lines that include 3d SOLID assets that can be disassembled and studied.
Autodesk may then make in-roads into a new business directly related to what the company is about.
This invention was developed at the University of Florida and I hold all rights to this invention. There is a PowerPoint presentation about the 3D scanner that might be of interest. I will send it if you would like since PowerPoints are not allowed to upload here.
Thanks,
Robert Harker
