I have downloaded Revit 2018 (free trial) and successfully installed it however i am receiving the following error message when i try to start it .

 

You must go online to continue. Please connect now.

 

 

I have updated and restarted and turned off my firewall as well. Why is this happening?

When you started Revit 2018, what option did you pick, Sign In, Enter serial #, Network?  Or you didn't see these options at all?

Hello @Anonymous,

 

Please take a look at the following article to make some adjustments to your LAN settings Subscription Licensing Error. Also, try to temporarily disable Firewall & Antivirus.

Hi thanks but after trying the steps in the link above i was still stuck. So I downloaded 2017 and installed it this then allowed me to connect to the internet and acess the program. I then ran 2018 at same time and it worked for some reason. I wish i knew why but hopefully this works for others.
