Vault C++ Installs

I am getting quite a few complaints from new users installing the tools that the install process is taking hours, if not a whole work day to complete. It's hanging for hours on the C++ installs. I'd like to try and address this up front as it's happening more frequently on brand new machines. Has anyone been able to push these installs out via SCCM ahead of the Vault install so it will skip past that portion? If you have, how did you identify what exactly is getting installed? I see a list here (Vault 2019 Components Installed) but understand it could vary from machine to machine, correct? Looking for any suggestions here. We are on Vault 2019 now but will upgrade to 2021 sometime this year so need to address this for both versions. Thanks!

Vault client is very straight forward installation.  Done many of them and not sure I've had where it hangs for hours on C++.

 

Are you doing this through SCCM or a deployment or some other method?

We are not deploying through SCCM (yet) but rather a deployment that is replicated out across the country at 6 of our servers where most of the users sit. I'm seeing more and more users indicate that it's hanging on that portion of the install.

I would recommend, disable silent mode on the deployment and test run it on a machine experiencing the issue.
