Upgraded to Win10 - Maya 2019 and 2020 now wont load

Recently IT had upgraded my machine to Windows 10 Pro. Previously I had Windows 7, and all Maya versions since 2018 have worked as they should.

I had to clean install Maya after the upgrade which i did, and I had noticed after installing and trying to run... Maya would hang on the loading screen.

I have tried un-installing, and re-installing clean versions of 2019 and 2020 the same issue persists.

Two separate Autodesk Technician's had remote connected to my computer and poked around for an hour each time and cannot seem to find the issue.  I had IT white list everything coming out of my system in case it was an issue with accessing anything ont he web and that didn't work.

I was told Autodesk is working on the issue but it is taking a long time and since I am the only 3D artist here at my job and my job heavily relies on 3D renderings.... I need this fixed.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello @Anonymous,

Launch issues can be related to a wide array of problems so finding a way to narrow it down & isolate it is key. Has anyone tried to re-create the event again & locating it using Windows Utilities to help determine the root cause.

Then review the article for the steps on how to troubleshoot it "Hangs or crashes during startup at checking or loading license".

Hello @Anonymous,

Just checking in with you, hope you were able to resolve it. Sometimes the issue can be as silly as security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system.

I am experiencing the same problem now...as a uni student I would like to do my work at home as it gets very expensive always going to uni just to use their computers to 3D model. The fact that I have other classes does not help and how most of the times there are other classes in the computer rooms. Not just that but also how covid is hitting hard at the moment....I would like this fixed please. I been trying to solve this myself multiple times and even factory reset my pc...still did not work in my favor
